Wardens are looking for the operator of an ATV who’s accused of hitting and dragging a Limington man.

The Maine Warden Service says a landowner on Pequawket Lake Road spotted the side-by-side ATV speeding on his property Tuesday evening.

He said he tried to take a picture of the ATV and its registration when the operator sped off and hit him, dragging him 75 feet before getting away.

The landowner was treated for abrasions and contusions and released from the hospital Tuesday night.

The ATV is a gray and black one-bench side-by-side that seats two people, with a prominent brush guard on the front.

Wardens say the ATV was driven by a man in an orange shirt, with a female passenger who had dark hair.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Regional Communications Center dispatch in Augusta at (207) 624-7076 ext. 9.

They can also contact MaineOperation Game Thief by calling 1-800-ALERT-US or going to maineogt.org.
