Downtown Portland was filled with rainbow flags, music, and celebration Saturday with thousands of people turning out for the annual Portland Pride Parade.

The parade started at Monument Square and trekked through the city center on Congress Street, which was lined with rainbow flags hanging from city light posts.

The parade ran through the city and finishes at Deering Oaks Park.

It ended with more than 1,000 volunteers carrying a quarter-mile-long rainbow the distance of the route into Deering Oaks Park.
