Portland Police Still Trying to Solve 16 Year Old Homicide Case

Portland Police are renewing efforts to solve a 16-year-old homicide that took the life of a 25-year-old woman.
Police say Darien Richardson and Cory Girard were sleeping in Richardson’s apartment on Rackleef Street on Jan. 8, 2010, when they were awoken by a masked intruder who entered their room and began shooting.
Richardson was shot in the hand and thigh, while Girard was shot in the arm.
Both were expected to survive, but Richardson died a month later from complications caused by a blood clot connected to her thigh injury.
Her murder remains unsolved.
