Juvenile accused of stealing vehicle, leading Bangor police on chase

A 14-year-old boy accused of leading police on a chase in a stolen vehicle was taken into custody in Bangor on Wednesday.

Bangor Police say they located a vehicle on Main Street that was believed to have been stolen and attempted to pull it over Wednesday morning before the driver took off.

An officer pursued the vehicle down secondary streets and through a parking lot when it struck a large pillar and became damaged.

The teenager was taken into custody after coming to a stop near an intersection and faces several charges including driving to endanger.
