The FBI and Portland Police have increased the reward for information about a man who went missing 20 years ago in Portland.
Miguel Oliveras was last seen leaving the Platinum Plus Club on Riverside Street around 1 a.m. on September 2, 2006.
On Thursday, the FBI said it’s increasing the reward to $25,000 for information that leads them to Oliveras or his remains.
At the time of his disappearance, Oliveras was wearing a grey camouflage long-sleeve shirt with a white t-shirt over it, green cargo shorts, and white sneakers.
He’s a Hispanic man and was 24 years old when he disappeared.
Oliveras is 5’11” tall, weighing about 170 pounds.
He has tattoos on his neck, back, shoulder, and hand.
Oliveras’ mother, Myrna Gonzalez, provided a statement following the announcement of the increased reward:
“It’ll be 20 years this year that my son disappeared and not knowing his whereabouts all these years is killing me. I need anyone with information to please come forward. Please, I need my closure.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Portland Police at 207-874-8584 or leave a tip with the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
