Five people have injuries from a crash Wednesday morning in Androscoggin County.

Deputies say a 1989 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by 73-year-old Sherwood Jordan of Bethel hit a tree that had fallen into the roadway on Center Minot Hill Road in Minot.

They say the pickup then crossed the centerline and hit an oncoming gray 2025 Toyota RAV4 driven by 16-year-old Howie Wu of Brooklyn, New York.

Deputies say three people from the RAV4 and two people from the pickup were taken to a local hospital with injuries.

They say Jordan, the pickup driver, was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected.

The roadway was temporarily closed while emergency personnel cleared the scene and investigated the crash.
The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the crash, which took place at about 8:15 a.m. in the 800 block of Center Minot Hill Road.
