A three-vehicle crash in Hancock County left an Ellsworth woman dead and three others hospitalized Sunday evening.

Police say a Bangor woman went through a stop sign at an intersection in Gouldsboro, striking a vehicle being driven by Heather Allen, 39.

Allen’s vehicle spun and struck a third vehicle before rolling over.

Allen was pronounced dead at the scene while three other people were injured and taken to the hospital.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
