RECAP: 10th Annual Stuff The Bus Food Drive

It’s the season for giving, so THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT.

Rewind 100.9, along with our amazing sponsors and even more amazing community members, raised over $10,700!! With this dollar amount and all the non-perishable food items donated, that totals over 127,500lbs of food for Preble Street!!

10749905_666173056831101_712769847764257001_oNow in their 40th year, Preble Street operates three full-time kitchens and a food pantry to aid our fellow Portland-area residents who would otherwise go hungry. This includes families and individuals who may be employed but make enough to pay the rent and other expenses, and sometimes have to choose between basic necessities and eating.

kids-boxesSchools in Portland, South Portland, Falmouth, Cape Elizabeth and Scarborough collected non-perishable food items which we rounded up with the big yellow Custom Coach & Limousine School Buses (Yes, we used TWO buses this year)!  And then you helped us finish Stuffing the Bus at area Hannaford Stores!

You can still help Preble Street and Stuff The Bus with a secure, online donation!
